Batman – Arkham City Soundtrack
Batman – Arkham City is one of my most anticipated titles of this year, which is saying a lot. Arkham Asylum was quite the surprise hit, in that it was a comic book property done well in game form. Cash-in comic book games, like most films or book to game properties are usually poor to say the least. Arkham Asylum changed that with a good storyline, excellent graphics and a beautiful, flowing, yet simple to execute combat system. Arkham City … Continue reading

Gears of War 3 Soundtrack List
Gears of War 3 will be released on Sept.30 completing “the trilogy”. Of course with a franchise as big as this, don’t be too surprised if the series continues on. Below is the full Gears of War Soundtrack list composed by Steve Jablonsky. Jablonsky was educated and trained by the Hans Zimmer Borg collective, hence the “Zimmerfied” feel to some of his scores. This track list should be 100% accurate as it was posted on the official Zimmer website. The … Continue reading

Recent Gaming Roundup – Juarez, F.E.A.R. 3, Catherine
Hearing the Call The Call of Juarez features a spiritual-successor storyline to the original games. One of the main characters, and if we’re honest the focal point of the game, is Ben McCall, ancient ancestor to the Reverend Ray McCall, gun-toting preacher from the previous two games. That’s kind of where the connection stops. There are dialogue references and even scenes that are supposed to take place in locations from the original games. It’s a weak call-back at most. McCall’s … Continue reading

Where the Sidewalk Ends – L.A. Noire Gold Film Reel Series
Cementing the Sidewalk Crew Where the Sidewalk Ends is a 1950 Film Noir starring Dana Andrews and Gene Tierney. The writers for the film were headed up by Ben Hecht (making his second appearance on our list after 1946′s Hitchock masterpiece Notorious). The wonderfully simmering, desperate musical score was composed by Cyril K. Mockridge, perhaps best know for his television work with the music for Lost in Space and his Academy Award nomination for Guys and Dolls. Cinematography was provided … Continue reading

Sherlock Season Two Delayed to 2012
So, if you’ve been paying attention to media news the last few days, as I have not, you may have heard rumors of Sherlock BBC Season Two (Series Two for Europeans) getting a delayed. Apparently that has been confirmed with the show not expected to air on the BBC until early 2012. They are still filming. This is upsetting for big fans of the show. However, it doesn’t seem too out of place when you think of each episode being … Continue reading

Walking Dead Special Edition & Season Two Trailer
Let’s jump right into it with the extended The Walking Dead Season Two trailer. Nearly 5 minutes of awesome. Walking Dead Season Two Trailer: From that trailer the story looks to be both deviating widely from the source material (again) but then also reconnecting with it as well as Rick carries a boy to the farm that was a crucial part of The Walking Dead story early on in the books/graphic novels. Season Two is still in production, so the … Continue reading
