I’ve grown to really like Desmond, particularly after finish his optional side stuff in the last few games.
The character of Desmond Miles was almost a bystander in the early days of Assassins 
Creed, though it was he through the Animus that drove the whole series. As the games have continued forward Desmond as truly become the catalyst and a greater representation of the bridge between the stories of Altair and Ezio, and from the sounds of it Connor. Desmond himself has been fleshed, especially for those completionists out there who sought to better understand him through side missions.
