Yakuza 4 features four main protagonists, and each have their own storylines that eventually intersect. Yakuza 4 Part 1 follows Shun Akiyama, in Chapter 1 we meet The Mysterious Loan Shark and learn a little bit about him and his background. He has a run-in with a potential war between Yakuza factions. But not much seems to phase Akiyama.
