Gaming music has been making some huge strides for more than a decade, but is finally get recognition these last few years with awards for original music. Many film composers have been making their way into the gaming world and vice versa, game composers are scoring film. Popular bands have been using games as vehicles for original work and cross-over appeal. It makes sense for a big name like McCartney to similarly use his experience and expertise to gain new reach through this medium.
