Among the Sleep – Longplay James Schumacher, June 2, 2014June 6, 2014 Among the sleep is an indie 1st-person survival game with supernatural/horror elements. The game was a successful kickstarter project, initially backed by the Norwegian Film Institute. It takes place from the perspective of a 2-year-old child. A lot of the interpretation of the narrative is left up to the player. However, the core story is the child’s reaction to troubles within his home, and the manifestation of the trouble household, real or imagined. The game tackles some very dark, real and difficult subject matter, which I applaud it for. For my instant analysis, reaction and review you can jump to the credit sequence. Overall the price of the game may be to high for the short length, but again, the issues tackler her are important and well done, as I reason in my post-game analysis.
