Escape from Monkey Island Intro James Schumacher, April 6, 2013April 7, 2013 Escape from Monkey Island was the last for a long time in the Monkey Island series, and I believe that last game (and only 2nd?) on the GrimE engine before LucasArts essentially abandoned what was perceived as the dead/dying adventure game genre. This one has some technical issues on newer machines and is not fully implemented in ResidualVM, so there are some quirks. I actually don’t know a ton about this game.
