Doubting the Institute’s motives and approach and shunned by the Railroad, the vault dweller has to throw in his lot with the Brotherhood and Paladin Danse… so that’s what he does.
I wanted to join the Railroad, apparently, by not immediately talking to Desmonda after finding their place, and thus failing The Road to Freedom, I am locked out. Things get a little weird and glitchy moving forward as I was still looking for a way to join and it seems to confuse the game…
