Metro 2033 Optioned for Film

Metro 2033 Film Rights Picked Up By MGM

Metro 2033 was a pleasant surprise, a gloomy, moody Russian apocalyptic setting with creepy enemies made for a tense and good looking game. For my money it out-stalkered STALKER as far as setting. Apparently it came from a novel of the same name, which I did not know (I’ll be looking for that now). The game/or book/ IP… whatever, has been optioned by film studio MGM. If they can achieve just half of the atmosphere that would be quite the achievement.
