Castlevania Lords of Shadow 2 – Part 13 – Mirror of Fate

All Rights Konami and MercurySteam. Castlevania Lords of Shadow 2 Walkthrough – Part 13 – Mirror of Fate

Dracula is asked by his son to retrieve the Mirror of Fate. His journey takes him through Pan’s Garden. Though Pan is long dead, having sacrificed himself in order to bestow great power upon Gabriel Belmont, and open a path for him to the land of the dead long ago, someone still lurks in this garden. Agreus is the brother of Pan and he is none too happy to see the Prince of Darkness. Dracula must stealthily* creep through amongst the leaves in order to progress and obtain his objective.

*Yes the “leaves” puzzle does seem somewhat ill-conceived. No Dracula should not be all-powerful, a main crux of the story is his weakness and loss of power and the struggle to regain it. No you should not compare this to Dracula that you know from other media, this story stands alone, apart from the other mythos. That being said, it’s not always apparent what you have to do, and this puzzle is one of the main times this happens. I played this part 10 times, about seven too many in my estimation. Once your figure out to use your mist form to pass over section of the leaves, it becomes fairly easy if you have patience. My 10th attempt is shown here without cuts in it’s entirety.
