Bloglovin’ James Schumacher, June 3, 2011June 3, 2011 Follow my blog with Bloglovin Testing out the bloglovin’ service. It allows you to get a feed of a bunch of different blogs that you choose. Large category system should make it easy to find blogs in various areas and genres that everyone can like. Blog Services I’ve tested out various blog services that are supposed to help with rankings and to get posts noticed. Technorati is probably the biggest one that I ranked on, being in the top 10 for both film and games and television at various times. However, with a WordPress site like this one, you kind of have to double up on your post tags with tags specific to Technorati and it also appears that their ranking system is really inconsistent and dramatic at best; with huge gains and losses not really pairing to the activity or content of a site. I’ve found that for music posts, Last.fm gets a get amount of link if you post to relevant artists. Twitter is fair, but you have to get lucky with the right #hashes #attherighttimes. Tumblr is probably the biggest helper for links these days, plus allow rapid-fire “mini-blog” and queuing.
