Grim Fandango Intro

James Schumacher, April 5, 2013April 7, 2013

Grim Fandango essentially marked the end of the big adventure game as we knew it during the 80s and 90s. This upgraded Sith (Dark Forces II) engine name GrimE brought pre-rendering of 3D assets for background and 3D characters. Though a critical success it was a commercial failure at the time. It has gone on to be considered a classic of the genre.

Via Wiki : “The player controls Manuel “Manny” Calavera (‘calavera’ being Spanish for ‘skull’) as he follows Mercedes “Meche” Colomar in the Underworld.” Written and directed by Tim Schafer.

This video was recorded through ResidualVM which does not have any upscaling functionality as of yet, it was sized from the original output.
