Unity offers a robust development environment with its feature-set increasing with every iteration. Supporting HD graphics and in-depth scripting, system and editor it can support the development of a wide variety of games from top-down casual, to FMV (The recently successful Tex Murphy Kickstarer) to full-on FPS shooters.
