Deathspank Game Review | Spanking the PSN Competition James Schumacher, July 18, 2010September 28, 2011 A Deathspank review for the Playstation 3 Deathspank is a new downloadable only game from Hothead Studios and Ron Gilbert, one of the original creators Maniac Mansion and the Monkey Island series. For a discussion of one of the best games of all time, and my favorite, Monkey Island 2, check the posts archives. Below is the trailer for Deathspank where Diablo and Monkey Island meet and then destroy chickens. I discuss everything in my Deathspank review for Associated Content, but to sum things up here, I am really enjoying it so far. It has the Monkey Island humor and some fun weapons. Great dialogue, music and art style. It’s short, but its a download game at only $14.99. Play some co-op with a friend and enjoy. Be sure to check out more Ron Gilbert classics. Maniac Mansion, and Monkey Island as mentioned, and most recently consulting on Tales of Monkey Island and the Penny Arcade games which lead to Deathspank. Deathspank reviews are trending positive right now, so I am not alone here. Coming up soon will have some rapid fire reviews of Blu-rays and some older games I rented through Gamefly and am currently playing. I may just rifle through Deathspank in the next couple days instead of playing them though. I will provide an update when I complete Deathspank and let everyone know the final verdict. Here’s a snippet from the Deathspank article: Perhaps the best thing about the game is the fact that the object of contention between our hero Deathspank, and the game’s villain is a purple thong. Now that’s funny. Action Adventure Game Associated Content Game Review General PS3 Video Games Writing adventure gamegame reviewPSNreviewvideo game reviewXbox Live
